Responsibilities
Maintenance and Servicing:
- Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Inspect equipment for wear and damage.
Diagnostics:
- Use diagnostic tools and software like CAT ET (Electronic Technician) to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Analyze error codes and interpret performance data.
Repairs:
- Perform mechanical repairs, such as fixing engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Replace damaged or worn-out components.
Address electrical issues, including wiring and sensor malfunctions.
Upgrades and Modifications:
- Install new parts or upgrade existing systems to improve equipment performance.
- Perform retrofits to meet updated safety or operational standards.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
- Ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards and safety guidelines.
